Getting ready for the new year!

We are packing up today to go snow skiing with some friends. We took Gracen up a couple of years ago to see how she would like the snow. Well, she didn't! It took her almost a day to walk through the snow. This is one of my favorite videos from that trip!

Holly is going back to the North Pole

Hi Gracen,
It has been so much fun being here with you during the month of December. You have been so much fun and I can’t wait to go back to the North Pole and tell all my elf friends and Santa about my visit to High Point, NC. I have to go back tonight to the candy cane kitchen at Santa’s Workshop to begin making candy canes for next year. It is so much fun and I am very excited! Oh by the way, I left you a thank you gift for letting me stay with you and your family. Sorry I didn’t clean up my mess, I was just having too much fun!
Love,
Holly

P.S. Don’t forget to put me under the tree tonight. Santa will pick me up and take me back to the North Pole! See you next year!

Merry Christmas Eve!

I just want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

Today, we are busy making cookies, getting ready for Santa Claus, and wrapping those last minute gifts. Gracen is so excited and so are we. I hope you have a great Christmas Eve and wonderful Christmas.
Love to all,
Wendy

Thanks Ms. Dana for the adorable hat and apron! We are using it today!

Holly Happenings!

Last night Holly ran string all through the house... Over furniture, around toys, in and out of chairs, through 4 rooms, and then left a special something for Gracen.

Hi Gracen,

I decided to play a little "elf trick" on you last night. I want you to follow the string all through the house. If you can do it, there will be a special prize at the end. Elves love to play games and I heard you did too! Start at the top of the stairs and have fun! Love, Holly

.................................................................

Then the night before, Holly got hungry for COOKIES!

Hello Gracen,
Last night I got hungry for something other than crackers and water. I wanted cookies!!! I used your Mommy’s oven and I left a little mess because I got sleepy. Hope she doesn’t mind. I made you some cookies, so now you can decorate them with icing and add some sprinkles. Have fun!
Love,
Holly

Gracen had her little friend Gibby over for a playdate, so they decorated the cookies. They had a great time!

Decorating cookies with Anna and Kevin

It seems like every holiday that rolls around we find a least one day to get in the kitchen with the kids. Gracen, Kevin, and Anna love to decorate cookies. Gracen loves the icing, Kevin loves the candy, but Anna is the best at the decorating. She takes so much time to make them perfect. The most important thing is that we all have fun and we are all good at that!

Gingerbread? What fun Holly!

Good Morning Gracen,
My favorite kind of cookie is Gingerbread! I love making gingerbread houses with all my elf friends every year. I think my favorite part is eating all the candy. Do you like candy? Well, I thought you might like to make you own gingerbread house today. Get Mommy to help you and don’t eat too much candy. Have fun!!
Love,
Holly

Holly made SNOW!!!!

Holly is at it again with her Christmas magic!

Hello Gracen,

Last night I was hoping that it would snow like is does at the North Pole. Well it didn’t, but instead I made snow! I had the most fun making snow angels and I thought you might like to make your own snow, too. So, I left you some “Magic” snow! You and Mommy read the directions and make some snow! It is a lot of fun to play with and Daddy will love it too! Love, Holly

And yesterday...

Good Morning Gracen,
You found me! I tried to hide in a good place last night. After you went to bed last night, I was looking at the Christmas tree and realized what a great place to sleep. All the colors of the lights and ornaments are so pretty and I love them. I would really like to look at more Christmas lights. Can you take me tonight to see more lights? Ask Mommy and Daddy.
Love,
Holly

Holly Adventures....

Holly goes joy riding....

Good Morning Gracen,
Oh my goodness, what a night! Buddy and I decided to go look at more Christmas lights last night after everyone went to bed. The only problem was that everyone was in bed too and turned off their lights. It was so dark when we came home that we couldn't’t see well enough to get the car back into the garage. We did our best, but had a little accident. Hope you understand. SORRY!

Holly

SNOW BALL... I mean Marshmallow fight...

Hello Gracen,
Oh what fun we had last night. Your baby dolls are a lot of fun to play with. They love to laugh and giggle just like all my elf friends in the candy cane kitchen. At the North Pole we love to have snow ball fights. But since you didn’t have any snow last night, we used the next best thing. MARSHMALLOWS!!!! They were fun and tasty. I thought you might want to clean these up... I mean eat these up. Hee hee!
Love,
Holly

Going to School...

Hi Gracen,
I heard that you go to preschool. Do you like school? We have school at the North Pole, but it is a little different than your school. At our school, we play elf games, make Christmas cookies, sing Christmas carols, and go for rides on the reindeer. Donner is my favorite! Anyway, I would love to see your school. Can I go to school with you today? I would love to take your friends a treat!
Love,
Holly

Bubble Bath for Holly....
Hi Gracen,
I heard that you loved BUBBLES! I have never blown bubbles before. At the North Pole they always freeze before that hit the ground. Last night I thought that I would take a bubble bath using your bubbles. I had a blast making bubbles all night long. I am now squeaky clean! I giggled so hard that I thought I was going to wake everyone up! I love BUBBLES!!! I saved some bubbles for you because I knew that you would like them.
Love,
Holly

Coloring Holly...

Hello Gracen,
I wanted you to know that my very favorite thing to do beside make candy canes is to color with all my pretty crayons. We have so many crayons at the North Pole and the elves love to color pictures of Santa Claus and all the fun things at the North Pole. I colored a picture for you last night. Do you like it? I also left you some new Crayons for you to color more pictures. Have fun with your new book. Ask Mommy and Daddy to color a picture with you. I know that they like to color too.
Love,
Holly
