Happy Belated Thanksgiving!!!

We have a lot to be thankful for this year...

Our family, our friends, and Gracen.

For the first time, Gracen wanted to help prepare for our Thanksgiving Feast. Thursday morning, she "helped" by getting the cheese ready (she ate more than we used), she helped Bibi prepare the eggs (they had a food fight with the bag), and she helped Mommy prepare sweet potatoes (and only ate the marshmallows.)

She was a big help or should I say a big help making a mess!

It really was wonderful to have 2 more little hands in the kitchen.
Cooking in the kitchen with my Mom is one of my favorite things to do and I can't wait to build this tradition with Gracen!
Happy Belated Turkey Day!!

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!

I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but I am so excited about Christmas this year. It's the perfect age with Gracen and she is soooooo excited. This morning we woke up and had a surprise in our yard. SNOW!!! I don't care how old you are, it is exciting! Especially in the South! I have never seen snow in November and it was so pretty. Jamie and I couldn't wait for her to wake up on her own. We had to go wake her up! When I told her that it snowed, she sat up from a dead sleep like a rocket. It was too funny to see her run down the hall half asleep to see the snow. Gracen said "It's Christmas now!" Funny how we associate snow with Christmas. With all her excitement it makes me excited and I can't wait for Christmas.

Final days of our whirlwind visit...

The last stop on our travels and we had a wonderful time seeing KK, Adam, Sarah, Ansley, Woot, Christopher, and Jeff. Thanks for the Mojito Kase... they were great!

Our Grandparents....

During our visit home we were able to visit all of our Grandparents (Gracen's Grandparents) and we had a wonderful time. She is still talking about all the fun things she "got away with" while with each one of them.
Wendy's Grandmother "Gran"

Jamie's Grandmother "Great Granny Groves"

Jamie's Grandmother "Big Granny"

Wendy's Grandfather " Papa Awtrey"

One of my Favorites!

Beautiful things....

As I looked outside today at our bare trees, I got a little sad. I love the colors of the season and while on our trip a couple of weeks ago, I took this picture of these beautiful trees. I love the color and they were so bright they just glowed. Unfortunately they don't last long. Good thing I have a picture... I also took the ones of Gracen that day. She was just amazed at these trees too. Boy, these are such beautiful things! Please take the time to click on the picture of the trees to appreciate the beauty of nature.
